The 2nd 'Bangai'(an additional temple) of Aizu's 33 Kannon pilgrimage sites is Yanaizu Kannon of Rinzaishu Reigansan Enzo-ji Temple.
It is accessible by way of an outer corridor that leads behind the Kikko-do Hall, which honors bodhisattva Fukuman Kokuzo Bosatsu.

柳津は岩に聳えて懸造り 前には只見の舟の浮きはし

  • Enzo-ji Temple, Kikko-do Hall

    Said to have been built in 807 by Tokuitsu. The principal object of worshipis is Fukuman Kokuzo Bosatsu, and it is counted among the Three Great Kokuzo Bosatsu Temples in Japan.

  • Enzo-ji Temple, Okunoin Benten-do Hall

    Okunoin is said to receive its name from the fact that it was built to provide depth to the object of worship when Tokuitsu opened Reigansan Enzo-ji Temple.
